My name is Kirishan, and I am very excited to be a part of SAAAC's Virtual Walk-a-thon this summer!
During these unique times, it's been a challenge for everyone (including myself) to stay both physically and mentally sharp, especially as an individual who lives with autism. As the title suggests, one way that helps me to relieve any stress or anxiety I feel is to go on a nice, brisk walk.
Throughout the summer, I am going to try walking through different places throughout Durham region. I am also going to try to hit 1 km a day, and go up from there!
I encourage everyone to do the same, and please donate to the fundraiser to support SAAAC's great efforts/initiatives to help individuals like myself! :)
